Good Morning!

I have a question to post to all? Anyone is welcome to give their 2 cents
on it . I will be glad of any information I recieve.
But if Mr. Ireland would jump in and give his knowledge of this
particular song it would be greatly appreciated.

Is anyone familiar with the song Kathleen Mavourneen?

And if you are how common is the song in your area?

I'm going to add this song to my Homework. but found it quite
strange that I had never heard of it.
Kentucky is having a big todo on Lincoln over the next few years
and I ran across this as being one of the many songs he listened to.

I don't live very far from Lincoln's Birthplace and I found it odd I hadn't
heard of it.
This is part of what I do in my songwork is connecting the KY. old
with what I have.
I will be gathering info on this subject from the the Ky.
side of things or maybe just the South side of things.It may be more common North of me but Your View of it is important also.

I see they closed the public view of the LRH.Being I'm still out [still not on
the site]cause it interferes with my
working on Homework ...if any big NEWS should pass through let me know.
Especially that which might be within a six hour drive of me.

Just stopping by to say a big 'howdy' to you all. Seems like life has become a little difficult for some of my DY buddies since I was last here. I sincerely hope that things are on the improve and that you will all be blessed with your fears subsiding and your dreams becoming a reality.

I feel so behind with everything, and I apologize for not being here on a regular basis. I know I keep promising to make the big comeback, and I will honour that promise soon, fingers crossed.

Retta, as you know Australia has changed and life just isn't what it used to be. Australia isn't what she used to be either. There is so much unhappiness floating around, it's hard to keep the faith, but we must believe that there is goodness around the corner.

Sunshine is always about to remind us of how being positive can brighten up everyone's mood. Isn't that right Sunshine?

For me, I wish I could turn back the hands of time, to before November 24, 2007. Sadly, that cannot happen.

At the moment I am travelling between two homes more regularly then I did in the past and it's getting pretty tiring. Hopefully all coming to an end sooner rather than later.

Hello friends

Thought I would post something for old time's sake - I miss the good ole days when we all posted and interacted with one another. You can't really do that on facebook and it was pretty tense at times at Rt 23 - we were very lucky to have this wonderful site, it gave us a place to meet and have fun in a safe moderated environment. Thanks Kentucky (Kath), Angela and others who assisted.

Mostly everyone is long gone, but this site isn't totally forgotten, as I see folk still call in at times.

I might try and call in if someone else posts a reply to this thread, plus the Greeting one.
